In Bed With @honeybelleworldblog

Let’s go In Bed With @honeybelleworldblog our latest style crush. Comes with a style to envy and a colour palette of dreams. Part of our In Bed With series…

Tell us about your morning ritual.

“I’m the laziest girl in the world and I love my bed so the struggle is always real getting up. The only thing that really gets me out of bed is the thought of breakfast. I have a bowl of organic porridge and organic oat milk every morning- pure bliss! I’m a complete news freak so I have to know what’s going on in the world as soon as possible, then once I’ve had a little current affairs catch up, I’m onto Instagram to see what’s happened overnight. “

Tell us about Honey Belle Blog.

“I started my blog a few years ago after reading some others and thinking ‘I want to do that!’. For me, being able to write whatever I feel like is the biggest buzz, especially as I work as a journalist where I normally have someone editing out what I really think! Hopefully my blog has progressed over the time I’ve been doing it, but there’s millions more improvements I’d like to make- it’s just there’s never enough hours in the day!”

Which pieces from the AWP SS/16 collection do you love?

“I’m really getting into earrings again lately, and the Silver Circle drop back ones are so beautiful. I also love all the rings, particularly the Ball and Bar ones.”

Do you have a favourite coffee house in London?

“I actually don’t drink coffee (although my Instagram might suggest otherwise!). I eat clean 100% of time so for me finding somewhere that does organic decaf green tea is The Holy Grail! Having said that, I do like a smoothie from The Good Life Eatery orThe Mae Deli.”

Where do you get your style/clothing inspiration from?

“I’m very traditional in that I love a magazine. I read all the monthly glossies. I even love the adverts- to me they’re art. But of course I can’t resist street style either. My faves also generally happen to be fashion editors- Sarah Harris, Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini.”

Instagram has become a very powerful tool. Have you seen your creative space and blog be affected by IG?

“Yes totally! It’s really fascinating to see how IG has impacted on everything in the blogging world. Not that blogging is dead, but being an ‘Instablogger’ can bring very similar ‘rewards’ to blogging, and also be massively creative too. For me personally I like to blog because I like to write, but trying to put out quality content on both is definitely exhausting. Girls who blog everyday have my total respect. We’ll see what happens though when Instagram finally implement their much-feared changes….maybe blogging will be on the front-foot again?”

Do you read many fashion blogs?

All.The.Time. I actually spend wayyy to much time doing that. I like all sorts of blogs- not just ones that share my style aesthetic. For example, I really enjoy reading Lydia Elise Millen– she just seems like such a doll!
Bad spelling really depresses me though. Sometimes I’ll read a badly spelt post just to be masochistic and wonder why nobody seems to understand the difference your and you’re.”

Here’s the truth, the choker looks it’s best when paired with a low neck top. Covering up those shoulders will take back the space the choker thrives on. Beyond low-cut tops, try styling it with another necklace on a longer chain to add depth. By design, the choker is restrictive, however the styling possibilities are endless. Therefore, this on-trend choker is the perfect escape from your everyday essentials.

In Bed With @Maria.Kubieniec

In Bed with – A carefully curated lifestyle and identifiable by signature social posts. Meet Polish graphic designer and dedicated minimalist @Maria.Kubieniec

“I’m looking for the items with passion and endurance”

What is it about minimalism that you adore?

“I’m a graphic designer obsessed with minimalism since almost a decade. I believe that the most important things are really simple, even if designing those isn’t so. I’m totally into Picasso’s sketches. His strokes truly are everything! I also like collecting nice stuff, though I do care about what it is. Therefore I’m not going crazy when it comes to sales. I’m looking for the items with passion and endurance. Minimalism for me is a way of living. After decluttering my apartment there is a space to focus on decluttering my habits and thoughts.”

Tell us about your morning ritual…

“I’m not a morning person, really. I work a lot and I definitely prefer to work at night. During the day I have a lot on my plate. That’s why my favorite ritual is making to-do lists. Planning helps me to remain productive. I also really love to sip a cup of warm tea in the morning! Especially green tea with mint. It wakes me up better then coffee (sorry!).”

Is there a stand out piece from the AWP SS/16 collection?

“My favorite is definitely Silver Chevron Ring. I love its simple but truculent shape. I wear it with oversized, Japanese-style top. Among necklaces I chose Silver Bar Necklace which perfect match with my long white shirt.”

How do you select your outfit for the day ahead?

“My everyday outfit really depends on my mood. My wardrobe could tell a lot about me, actually. Most of my clothes are comfortable pieces. It is very important to me not to spend too much time to figure out what to wear. I prefer shopping with intention, which guarantees everything fits together.”

If you could choose a city to work on a street based fashion shoot, which would you choose?

“It would be Copenhagen for sure! I’m in love with this city full of white, beautiful facades, fancy cafes, and great design at every corner. But if you’re planning shooting in Copenhagen, be prepared for a strong winds everytime, everywhere!!!”

Where art meets Fashion

Introducing Krakow fashion creative @agarolek the newest brand ambassador to A Weathered Penny talks Where Art Meets Fashion

“Sometimes it’s only about your extraordinary attitude. Because it’s not what you wear, it’s how you wear it”

Aga

Creating Art through Fashion

Aga Rolek continuously positions herself at the forefront of online fashion with her incredible Instagram account and blog, Stone Beige. Taking to the streets with a point and shoot attitude can work for many, but Aga adds her own distinctive creative, leaving a lasting impression.

”My style constantly evolves but there is one thing that never changes: straight cut. Simple form is the key to my minimal style. Lately, I have been obsessed with a simple, yet unusual form. Therefore, I will be constantly evolving my style.

Every morning I choose one extraordinary item from my closet and I pair it with basics. Black and white, simple and minimal but with a twist”

We see Aga as an artist. She uses her physical form to produce striking stances, captivating the viewer and complementing the outfit worn as seen in this post. This is not only found in her outfit posts, even with a simple product shot or flatlay, every detail is carefully considered and the use of composition is extremely imaginative.

Aga turns fashion photography into art which would not be out of place adorning any wall, in a simple white frame…of course.

Shaping Minimalism

We became inspired through Aga’s unique approach to fashion. Addicted to monochrome and minimalism, Aga always leaves you wanting more.

In conclusion, obsessed by Aga’s work we’re extremely excited to announce Aga as our brand new ambassador for A Weathered Penny. Aga will bring an abundance of creativity to the company, working across many exciting projects. Furthermore, we hope you were inspired by Where Art Meets Fashion.

In Bed With @AGAROLEK

Creativity in abundance, a distinctive eye for style and a passion for minimalism, let’s go In Bed With @AGAROLEK, Krakow’s finest style blogger

Tell us about your morning ritual.

“First thing I do after I wake up is make sure that it’s really time to get up. Wasting even one minute of sleep is a crime for me (smiles). The time between waking up and actually getting up is for creative thinking and looking for inspiration on Instagram. It’s a warm up for my brain. Without it I would fall asleep again most times. Unless I have important meetings, I don’t prepare my outfits the day before. I try not to put much thought into this part of my routine, cause I’ve learnt that improvised looks created in a hurry are often the best ones.”

Which season in fashion excites you the most?

“Definitely spring/summer. Mostly because I hate cold. Extreme layering is not my favourite thing. I need to feel comfortable all day long and the temperature is a key factor here. It’s just easier and quicker to choose what to wear when you don’t have to worry about freezing your ears off.”

Do you have a favourite piece from the new SS/16 AWP collection?

“As a minimalist, I love everything from the new collection. If I had to choose, I would probably go with Silver Ball and Bar Ring. I love the combination of shapes and how my hand looks like when I put it on. It’s that minimal chic quality that is irresistible (smiles).”

Where do you shop and what is your current go to?

“On-line shopping is my favourite kind, it saves me plenty of time and energy. Nowadays it’s all about saving time and energy, right? Maybe that’s why my go-to item of the moment is a pair of white sneakers. They go with almost every outfit so I don’t have to think about what shoes to wear. One less thing to decide in the morning.”

‘Nude’ Trend on the Block

Nude Trend on the Block

Nudes & Marble
By Beneath AWP

The (winter) gloves are coming off (What a feeling that is!). So we’re on the eve of one of our favourite seasons and with the dawn of every seasonal change in fashion, follows the desire to be as on trend, making you the trend setter. As you guessed from the posts title, this spring/summer, it’s the colour nude and marble accessories.

We are beginning to adore adding a hint of ‘nude’ to our wardrobe colour palette (black/grey/white) and it teams perfectly with another one of the hottest trends, marble. Marble was historically used in sculpture and architecture but has since made it’s way into our home, clothing and jewellery, revolutionising the way we design and feel. In a big way, this beautiful texture is taking over the fashion scene!

Furthermore, try pairing your marble inspired AWP favourites with a nude colour palette outfits to maximise your spring/summer 16 look. Be on trend, effortlessly.

Complement A Weathered Penny jewellery with clean and minimalist packaging, the perfect gift for yourself. Not for you? Add a gift box and a personal message for the special someone. Furthermore, free delivery on all orders over £60.

In Bed With @AWP

In the first ever episode of In Bed With, we catch up with A Weathered Penny creative director Kayleigh to discuss morning rituals, how to choose your outfit and what’s in store for 2016.

Tell us about your morning ritual?

“Before I step out of bed I like to check social media. I start with Instagram, following up on customer questions and comments and I always have a look at what our followers are up to. Also I like keeping up to date with bloggers and which outfits and accessories they’re talking about. I love pinning on Pinterest too. I adore the huge amount of inspiration Pinterest gives me, it really inspires me, not only in style but with our very own collections. Then it’s a coffee (or 2) and I start planning my day. I’m in love with my new Concrete Planner, it helps me clear my mind and helps me plan out the day ahead.”

How do you choose your outfit for the day ahead?

“I like to dress for comfort and style. Current obsessions include un-structured clothing in a particular colour platte – black/white/grey. In addition to this, I really enjoy adding hints of nude/dusky pink and creams. I like to keep my outfits simple and un-patterned. I’m currently obsessed with shopping at & Other Stories. I am almost always in trainers but will wear black ankle boots when heading out. I then have the job of choosing which jewellery to wear! My go-to hit list includes the Geometric Block, Silver Bar Earrings, Silver Bar & Ball Ring, Contrast Marble Triangle Necklace or Silver Bar Necklace.”

What’s in store for A Weathered Penny this year?

“2016 looks like being our biggest to date. The team are incredibly excited. There is plenty of exciting launches and collaborations happening over the coming year (and years to come). We are launching a new line of sunglasses for summer! The adult collection will also feature brand new pieces, but I’ll keep my cards close to my chest with that! A Mini Penny will also feature a new line of super cool kids jewellery…

cont… The continuation of growth and new collaborations is going to be key for us this year. We will be heading to Playtime Paris in the summer, Copenhagen later in the year, establishing stronger relationships with current collaborators and potentially NYC in the autumn to experience the big markets and meet with PR agencies.”
